1What this clause covers

This clause records what a tool's terms make you promise about the material you upload. 13 tools ask you to warrant that you hold the rights, 4 make you responsible for your content without an express warranty, and 7 state neither in the terms read.

For a book, the promise covers the text itself. If the novel is still in copyright where you work, or the edition you copied carries restrictions of its own, the promise is broken the moment the file goes up, whatever the tool does with it afterwards.
