Check visibility before the first upload
An unpublished book is safest where nothing is public by default. Pika, Runway, Topview and Descript make content public only when the user shares it; Krea lets some submissions be seen unless the plan includes private mode. As of 2026-09-25.
Most terms read say nothing either way, so the product's own settings are the place to look.
Try the first upload with a short, non-critical passage and see where it appears.
Turn off any community or gallery sharing before working with the real text.
Remember that a shared link is public to anyone who has it.

| Descript | Visibility | Projects become public only when you designate them so |
| Krea | Visibility | Some submissions may be visible to other users unless the plan includes private mode |

2The adaptation step in practice
Once the rights in “Check visibility before the first upload” are settled, SceneMixer describes the adaptation itself like this:
SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.

Downloads and the asset library follow your Music switch; a shared link always plays the version with the episode’s music.
