Retention period: how long deleted content stays
A retention period is the time a tool keeps content after it has been deleted, usually so an account can be restored or backups can age out. As of 2026-09-25.
Higgsfield keeps content and outputs for 30 days after an account is deleted so it can be restored. Topview removes deleted items from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90. Story.com may keep customer data indefinitely in anonymised, aggregated form.
A retention period is a safety net against deleting by mistake, and a delay for anyone who wanted the text gone.
Backups usually outlast the production copy; the terms that name both are the clearest.
Retention can run longer where the law requires it, as Topview's terms also note.
Deletion within a retention period does not end a licence already granted.

2From book to screen, one tool's way
Once the rights in “Retention period” are settled, SceneMixer describes the adaptation itself like this:
SceneMixer separates the script language from the production language: the output (episode outlines, storyboards, on-screen text) follows your interface language, and target-region localization adapts character names, casting, and scenery for Western, East Asian, Southeast Asian, or Latin American audiences.

Each segment is generated on whatever tier was selected at the time, and the episode composites them together.
