What decides whether a book can be adapted

Upload clauses: six clauses, every tool

Pick a clause, such as training, and every tool's reading appears with the sentence it rests on. Beneath each clause sit pages that stay with a single tool. As of 2026-09-25.

What this register holdsEach of six upload clauses read across 24 AI video tools' terms, with single-tool pages where the clause is detailed. 6 pages sit under it.RegisterUpload clauses6 pagesEach pageA clause, pair, question or word, from the sources. Each readingSource, part, day read.
Fig. 1 Each page links back to this register.

The clauses follow an upload: what you promise, what the tool may do, and what happens if the material was not yours to use.

Each clause page gives the reading for all 24 tools in one table, then lists which tools share each reading, so a clause can be compared across the register at a glance.

A tool whose terms read say nothing on a clause gets a row that says so.

Training is the clause that varies most between tools: some keep uploads out, some use them, one uses them unless the setting is changed, and eleven say nothing.

Single-tool pages exist where a clause has enough wording to read on its own.

A tool whose clause is only a line or two stays on the clause page and its own tool page, where the line is quoted in full.

For a book adaptation, the warranty matters first: it is the user who carries the risk.

3The adaptation step in practice

Once the rights in “Upload clauses” are settled, SceneMixer describes the adaptation itself like this:

Typically 60–120 seconds, always 9:16 vertical, ending on a hook. SceneMixer's episode outlines are generated with that pacing, and setting a project to 9:16 makes every segment vertical (the default is 16:9).

The cast is generated once, at the start, as full-body reference sheets. Every segment that features a character is generated against that character's sheet, with face and body crops attached as references — so the face in episode 1 is the face in episode 40.
